United Speakers Global Markham is one of the two new branches of United Speakers Global, in Toronto. It provides students with the chance to practice and improve their public speaking while having fun. Like USG, the Markham Branch aims to inspire and empower students to find their voice. Recently, USGCM has successfully launched its Spring Term with a class full of eager-to-learn students. With roles such as President and Vice President, students experience amazing leadership opportunities, as they are given the chance to lead the class. For the rest of the students, USGM provides weekly roles to sign-up for–a speaker, an evaluator, a quizmaster, or a grammarian–in order to ensure everyone gets the chance to participate. During the weekly classes, there are speeches, evaluations, table topics, lessons, and many more activities. USGM is student-led and strives to create a fun and inclusive environment while promoting public speaking.
